Major Schemes Related To Farmers In Haryana

Farmers Welfare Schemes

The following schemes related to farmer welfare are being implemented in the state:

Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana

  • The scheme was launched by the State Government on 1st January, 2018, to protect the farmers from losses in the price of crops due to various disasters in Haryana.
  • Under this project. the base price of vegetables was first determined.
  • If a farmer has to sell his crop below the base price in the mandi, the State Government pays the extra price to the farmers.
  • In order to take advantage of this scheme, every farmer is required to register under the Bhavantar Bhoomi Yojana Portal.
  • Under this scheme, the first minimum base price of four crops (tomato, onion, potato, cauliflower) was fixed.
  • Crop Cluster Development Programme (CCDP)

  • This scheme was started in the year 2018 by the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Om Prakash Dhankhar in Gurugram district.
  • The scheme aims to double the income of farmers by eliminating intermediation of middlemen.
  • Under this scheme, 140 clusters have been built in 340 villages of the state, in which a crop cluster has been built on each cluster. Through these clusters, farmers will also be helped to sell their farm produce.
